They were students at Penn State and they started this ghost club or something. Anyway its pretty wild and you guys should watch it. I do not know if I beleive some of the stuff that happens or not. The Gettysburg episode was pretty nuts though

Website Design

So I am sitting in the computer lab trying to think of a creative way to share my thoughts and opinions about ENGR 407. What can one say it has been a pain in the ass. I have decided to express my thoughts through a website and you can check it out at personal.psu.edu/mrc231. My website is a recap of my college career and in it includes ENGR 407. Maybe it's not the most creative thing I have ever done but it is something I've been updating for some time now.

Harry Kalas

"Longtime Phillies broadcaster Harry Kalas died at 1:20 p.m. ET on Monday, shortly after collapsing in the team's broadcast booth before the series opener against the Nationals.
'We lost Harry. I've been 39 years with the Phillies and 39 years with Harry and, as I said in this clubhouse, we lost our voice today,' said team president and CEO David Montgomery at about 1:50 p.m. outside the team's clubhouse. 'He has loved our game and made just a tremendous contribution to our sport and certainly to our organization.'"

RIP Mr. Kalas

Today' class

I thought that class today was extra important. I could a lot of good feedback about our new parking idea. So thanks to all that contributed and asked questions. I also want to point out that we had changed our idea and to remind everyone that it is not wise to marry your first idea. Remember that the best idea is the best idea and don't be stubborn to give yours up for somebody elses.

New Project

So I think one of the secrets to the knew project is to ask yourself not only if your idea to make a business is original and is something that people will appeal to. But the big difference is is it a business that could be just bought out by a bigger corporation or is a business that can be a its own corporation. Just something to keep in mind!

Grey Water

So I beleive that grey water usage is important to water recylcing however what does it take to convince someone to make their own garden and grow veggies instead of purchasing them from a market? I think it is really only useful when water is very limited to someone and they are forced to find ways to recycle there water. Let me know what you think...

Shitty Water

Shitty water is the name for our forging fame project. We are designing a prototype that will be used to grow plants and herbs from greywater. The greywater used is the trash water wasted from doing the dishes. Instead of wasting valuable water to the ocean, why not use it to build your own indoor garden.

Under Pressure

I am feeling under pressure about this new project. Two weeks to prototype something that people are going to watch work or help someone is somewhat difficult in this amount of time. My advice is to think of something that will be interesting but do not get to crazy in the gizmo and gadget work of the prototype. Think simple. The more complicated the prototype the more likely it is not going to work.

Crash and Burn

I thought crash and burn provided useful experience. Convincing people to buy something that they may need or not need was more difficult than I thought. When I was at the frat house selling towels I told people who already had one to bring them down and swing them around to try and get people who were steelers fans without one to buy one. I took Matt's advice and didn't let people say know when I approached them about purchasing a towel. One girl got extremely offended because I told her she was a fake steeler's fan probably not from Pittsburgh. Turns out she is from the heart of Pittsburgh and got real angry with me. Now that this is over let me just say I hate the Pittsburgh Steelers...

Terrible Towels

Selling terrible towels has been one of the more difficult tasks of my college career. It challenges my ability to be an entrepreneur. Although I haven't done a bad job selling these towels, I find it difficult to convince people I know, to buy one when the know I am a diehard birds fan and hate the Pittsburgh Steelers. How do you convince someone to buy something that you yourself don't even like? It takes skill to sell something you despise especially if the person you are selling to knows you hate the product...

Making money

Who thinks their idea is going to make the most money? What skills are required to make some 1000 dollars out of just 5 bucks? When I told my roommates about this project they said I would not make it past 100 bucks.
